The participants  in the meeting discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral agenda. They also noted the existed significant potential of deepening mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the two countries.

 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar thanked the Italian side for the consistent position in support of Ukraine and stressed the importance of maintaining the regime of sanctions against the Kremlin.

The issue of Vitaliy Markiv, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine convicted in Italy, was an important part of the negotiation.  Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko stressed that Ukraine is/was doing all possible to support its compatriot and ensure his return home.

In this regard, the Ukrainian side is conducting its own investigation  into the  circumstances around the death of Italian journalist Andrea Roccelli and  expects cooperation of the Italian side in this matter.
