12 July 2011 –Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko informed President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych on a significant progress in Ukraine's negotiations with the European Union.

"Today we have taken a considerable step forward in negotiations on both a FTA with the EU and the Association Agreement. It goes about a series of measures to eventually give a new impetus to these negotiations in the second half of this year "- said Mr.Gryshchenko after meeting with the Head of State in the Crimea.

The Minister also briefed the President of Ukraine on the preparations for the fifth session of the Ukrainian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission. "I have reported on how the preparation for this event here in Ukraine goes", - said the head of the MFA of Ukraine .
