On 1 April, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.
The document was signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha and the Rector of Karazin University Tetiana Kahanovska.
"Last Thursday, I was on a visit to Kharkiv with my Norwegian colleagues and attended Karazin University as well. There I spoke to the faculty and students, and it was a very warm and interesting meeting. Then we discussed with the university administration the possibilities of developing international cooperation. And today, in Kyiv, together with the Rector Tetiana Kahanovska, we signed a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Karazin University," said Andrii Sybiha.
"Karazin University is a symbol of Kharkiv. The university trains qualified specialists, and we at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expect them to come to us for internships and work in the diplomatic team. Kharkiv National University will also involve our specialists in teaching specific disciplines. Together with the university, we will work to ensure that the university provides high-quality education based on the best practices of diplomacy," the Minister said.
Rector of Karazin University Tetiana Kahanovska emphasised that this is a very important event for the university.
"This is another confirmation that even in times of war we remain the intellectual heart of the country, the place where future leaders are born. This is not just a document. It is a belief in young people, in knowledge, in the power of Ukrainian diplomacy. This is a step towards a common goal: to train a new generation of professional diplomats who will represent Ukraine in the world and implement its foreign policy with dignity," - she said.
