Johann Wadephul to thank Germany for its steadfast support that saves Ukrainian lives and strengthens the security of Europe.

I updated Johann on the details of American peace proposals and our next steps in the coming days. We discussed Germany’s and Europe’s important role in peace efforts.

I also updated my German counterpart on principled steps taken by the President of Ukraine and our government in response to recent corruption investigations. Ukraine works on accountability and renewal within state enterprises to ensure a proper cleanup.

I am grateful to Johann for his firm position on the need to maintain and strengthen European support for Ukraine’s defense and resilience, as well as increase pressure on the aggressor.
