Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I held a fruitful call with my Finnish colleague and friend Elina Valtonen. I briefed her on the consequences of Russia’s latest ballistic and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, civilians, and critical infrastructure. We discussed the urgent need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defence and accelerate the delivery of capabilities to protect our skies. 

We also focused on Finland’s important role in the Shelter Coalition and practical steps to provide better protection for Ukrainians. We discussed advancing Ukraine’s EU accession, including the opening of negotiating clusters, as well as ongoing diplomatic efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace. 

We agreed to maintain close coordination and outlined our next contacts to advance these priorities. Grateful to Finland for its steadfast support".
