Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a call with Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani to reaffirm Ukraine’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain amid Iran’s reckless attacks. 

We focused on the security situation in Bahrain and the broader dynamics across the Middle East. 

Images and reports of Iranian attacks are tragically familiar to Ukrainians. For more than four years of Russia’s full-scale aggression, our people have lived through large-scale missile and drone strikes targeting cities and civilian infrastructure. Iran has been one of Russia’s key accomplices in this war, providing weapons that have been used to terrorize Ukrainian communities.  

Therefore, we are ready to help our partners and share experience in countering Iranian-made drones and other threats.  

We exchanged views on further advancing bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors, including security and political dialogue.   

In this context, we look forward to further strengthening relations between Ukraine and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries during Bahrain’s GCC Presidency this year."
