Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "Today I also had a call with Brazil’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira to build on our leaders’ dialogue and discuss the next steps in developing Ukraine–Brazil relations.
I informed my colleague about the consequences of Russia’s latest attacks on Ukraine, including its escalating strikes against civilian vessels and food shipments in the Black Sea. These attacks threaten freedom of navigation and global food security, with consequences felt far beyond our region.
Brazil’s voice can play an important role in advancing peace efforts. Ukraine remains fully committed to achieving a comprehensive and lasting peace based on the UN Charter, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the principle that aggression must not be rewarded.
We agreed to maintain close dialogue and continue working together on bilateral issues".
