Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a substantive call with my Estonian friend and colleague Margus Tsahkna.

We discussed the situation on the battlefield, the latest developments in peace efforts, and exchanged views following the informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers.

We share the view that pressure on Russia must continue to grow, including through stronger sanctions, while Ukraine must receive the support it needs to strengthen its positions.

We also discussed Russia’s threats across Europe, including the recent developments in Leipzig. Europe needs a firm and coordinated response to every Russian attempt to test our resilience and security.

I thanked Estonia for its consistent support for Ukraine’s EU membership and stressed the importance of moving forward with the opening of negotiation clusters.

We coordinated our work ahead of winter and preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Tallinn in 2027, which will be an important opportunity to mobilise further practical support for Ukraine’s recovery and resilience.

We agreed to coordinate our next contacts and steps closely".
