Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I was pleased to meet with my Moldovan colleague and friend Mihai Popsoi in Chisinau on my way back to Ukraine.
I informed Mihai about the battlefield situation and Russia's most recent massive air attacks on Ukraine. These brutal strikes demonstrate that Putin rejects peace efforts and instead seeks only war, murder, and destruction.
I emphasized the importance of advancing peace through strength, including an increase in sanctions and political pressure on the Kremlin, as well as defense and financial assistance to Ukraine.
We discussed how the international community could force the Russian regime to agree to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire.
We also compared notes on the joint progress on the path of Ukraine’s and Moldova’s EU accession.
We agreed to work closer together to counter Russia's shared hybrid threats. We also expressed a shared desire to foster good-neighborly relations within the Ukraine-Moldova-Romania triangle".
