Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I was glad to meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan for a fruitful discussion on Ukraine-Singapore relations and promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

I informed Minister Balakrishnan about the situation in the Black Sea and its consequences for global food security. We rely on Singapore’s voice in support of restoring freedom of navigation.

We paid attention to ongoing peace efforts, Russia’s strikes against our energy system, and our work to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience ahead of winter.

We also discussed the deepening cooperation between Russia and North Korea and its implications for regional security both in Europe and the Indo-Pacific.

Ukraine appreciates Singapore’s support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity. We look forward to further strengthening our cooperation within multilateral formats such as the UN and ASEAN — particularly ahead of the Singaporean 2027 ASEAN Chairmanship".
