I updated my colleague on the recent peace efforts and ways to speed them up. There is no alternative to increasing pressure on Russia — political, economic, and military. 

We also discussed further steps to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience and enhance our air defense and military capabilities amid Russia’s recent brutal attacks on our critical and civilian infrastructure.  

I thanked Spain and personally Jose Manuel for all the swift and significant support for Ukraine during this hardest winter.
