On May 6, 2024 First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha met with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Martin Jaeger.

The First Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude to the German government for the comprehensive support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and noted the importance of the German military assistance received in the context of provision of the Ukraine's air defence.

From his part, Martin Jaeger assured Germany's constant support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. He also emphasized the readiness of the German government to continue promoting military, economic and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

During the meeting particular attention was paid to the preparation for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will be held in June 2024 in Berlin.

The interlocutors also focused on the preparation for the inaugural Peace Summit. Martin Jaeger confirmed the Germany`s intention to promote on the matter.
