On Thursday, 21 May, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, held a substantive meeting with representatives of the business community of Southern Sweden, which was attended by 15 top managers and company owners representing around 20 leading enterprises and business structures from various sectors of the Swedish economy.

Andrii Sybiha expressed his gratitude to the Swedish businesses operating in Ukraine during the time of war for their adherence to principle, their social mission, and their resilience.

"We discussed ways to facilitate business cooperation, including the possibility of easing travel restrictions both at the national and EU levels. I also called upon Swedish businesses to actively join the reconstruction of Ukraine, participate in the upcoming Recovery Conference in Gdansk, and engage with the Ukrainian community," Andrii Sybiha noted.

Among the participants were representatives of companies in the fields of industry, engineering and manufacturing, energy (including renewable energy), infrastructure and construction, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, financial services, investments, as well as security technologies.

The companies represented included: Danir Group, Sigma, Saab, Nederman Holding AB, Lindab AB, Yaskawa Nordic AB, Alfa Laval, AFRY, Hill Ceramic, Vindkraft Group, Øresundsbron, Bona AB, PEAB Group, AstraZeneca, SEB, Zhoda Investments, Tetra Pak Lund, and Axis.

Andrii Sybiha expressed separate gratitude to Professor Johan Eklund, CEO and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Southern Sweden, who chaired the meeting.
