Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybihа "I was pleased to meet, together with Iryna Mudra, with the President of the European Court of Human Rights Mattias Guyomar in Chișinău. 

I expressed gratitude to the Court for its landmark judgment in Ukraine and the Netherlands v. Russia — a decision that became not only a legal ruling, but also a strong political and moral message from Europe to the aggressor. 

The Court reaffirmed that Russia’s actions against Ukraine are unprecedented in the history of the Council of Europe. 

Ukraine supports the independence and impartiality of the Court as the cornerstone of human rights protection in Europe. 

We also discussed international accountability mechanisms. 

Ukraine draws on the Court’s approaches and legal practice in the process of establishing the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine and other accountability mechanisms, in particular the International Claims Commission for Ukraine".
