Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "I had a productive meeting with Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines Theresa P. Lazaro in New York. Grateful to the Philippines for its unwavering support for Ukrainian sovereignty, territorial integrity, and commitment to peace.

We are interested in deepening political, economic, and security cooperation for our shared future. We agreed to hold political consultations until the end of this year. 

We noted the importance of Ukraine establishing its embassy in Manila. Ukraine is also ready to cooperate with the Philippines in the area of modern defense.

I congratulated the Philippines on its Presidency in ASEAN next year and reaffirmed Ukraine’s interest in taking active part in its events and activities as ASEAN observer state and develop trade.  We also coordinated our cooperation within international organizations".
