On 27 November, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister, Chief Digital Transformation Officer Anton Demokhin held a meeting with an Estonian delegation led by Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa-Ly Pakosta.
Anton Demokhin emphasized the high level of bilateral cooperation, expressed gratitude for Estonia’s defense assistance to Ukraine, and acknowledged Estonia’s active role in coordinating the Tallinn Mechanism and its leadership within the IT-coalition. He highlighted the importance of collaboration in digital transformation, cyber diplomacy and e-governance development.
The parties discussed key directions for future cooperation, including the implementation of the Peace Formula. Special attention was given to applying Estonia’s expertise in developing digital solutions to facilitate mechanisms for the return of displaced Ukrainian citizens to Ukraine.
Minister Liisa-Ly Pakosta commended Ukraine’s achievements in digital transformation and cybersecurity, reaffirming Estonia’s steadfast support. The meeting also explored opportunities to enhance Ukraine’s participation in Estonia-led cyber exercises and to establish knowledge-sharing initiatives in cybersecurity.
