Deputy Foreign Minister, Chief Digital Transformation Officer, Anton Demokhin participated in the discussion titled «Global Digital Governance: Promise or Pipedream?», that opened the high-level segment of the Singapore International Cyber Week «Trust and Security in the Digital Era».

«Cyberspace, like international relations, requires responsible state behaviour. This implies, among other things, a strong international response to illegal actions. We call on the international community to join forces in protecting common security and a rules-based order», said Anton Demokhin.

The Deputy Minister noted that Russia's aggression against Ukraine is also taking place in cyberspace as well as in the information sphere. He provided examples of illegal actions using social media, attacks on infrastructure and satellite systems.

The Ukrainian diplomat warned that other states will soon face threats of this magnitude. He emphasized that Ukraine is ready to share its unique experience in countering malicious interference, strengthening cyber resilience, and building digital governance with its partners.

Anton Demokhin appreciated Singapore's leadership in the  Open-ended Working Group  on security of and in the use of information and communications technologies (OEWG) in the context of international security.

In addition to participating in the panel discussion, the Deputy Minister will also hold a series of bilateral talks with partners on the sidelines of the event.
