During his working visit to Singapore to participate in the International Cyber Week “Trust and Security in the Digital Era” Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Chief Digital Transformation Officer Anton Demokhin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, Vivian Balakrishnan.
Anton Demokhin expressed gratitude to his Singaporean colleague, Dr. Balakrishnan, for the firm support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as norms of international law and the UN Charter. He highly appreciated Singapore's participation in the first Global Peace Summit and its joining of the summit’s final communiqué.
The Deputy Minister expressed hope for further mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Singapore.
The parties discussed current challenges in the fields of information technology and cybersecurity, and the importance of systematic cooperation between states to ensure resilience at national and international levels.
The diplomats paid special attention to the prospects of developing cooperation between Ukraine and ASEAN. Anton Demokhin confirmed Ukraine's interest in elevating the level of relations with ASEAN to a strategic dialogue partnership, particularly in the field of digitalization, which is of mutual interest.
