Minister for foreign affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had a telephone conversation with Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde.
The conversation took place in the context of active diplomatic efforts to strengthen the security of Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens against the background of aggressive actions of the Russian Federation.
Dmytro Kuleba informed Ann Linde in detail about the current security situation near the state border and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, massive Russian disinformation and Russia's efforts to undermine economic and financial stability of our state.
The head of Swedish diplomacy reaffirmed Sweden's staunch support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its commitment to the principle of "no decisions on Ukraine without Ukraine."
She also assured Dmytro Kuleba of active support for the implementation of a comprehensive deterrence package to discourage Russia from aggressive plans against our state and Europe in general. In this regard, the interlocutors discussed the issue of new EU sanctions against Russia.
Ministers paid special attention to additional steps to counter the negative impact of Russian hybrid aggression on Ukraine's economy.
Ann Linde told Dmytro Kuleba that Sweden does not currently intend to evacuate family members and personnel of the Swedish Embassy in Kyiv.
