Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba had a call with Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Diaspora of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire Kandia Kamassoko Camara.
The parties discussed the development of political dialogue, trade and cooperation in education and agriculture.
Ministers agreed to hold political consultations this year between the Foreign ministries of Ukraine and Côte d’Ivoire after an eight-year break.
Dmytro Kuleba expressed Ukraine’s interest in increasing the presence of Ukrainian companies in Côte d’Ivoire, in particular their participation in a number of industrial projects.
Кandia Camara confirmed that Ukrainian companies are expected in Côte d’Ivoire and named agriculture and processing of agricultural products as one of the priority sectors. The head of Ivorian diplomacy also invited a delegation of Ukrainian business to visit Côte d’Ivoire to get acquainted with the possibilities of working in this country.

For reference: in 2020, the bilateral trade turnover between Ukraine and Côte d'Ivoire amounted to USD 113.89 million. In the first quarter 2021, the volume of trade in goods and services amounted to USD 32.82 million.
