On September 28, 2021, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine (CDTO) Dmytro Senik took part in the Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Investment Forum "Government Support for Investments in Ukraine".
Dmytro Senik welcomed growing interest of Kuwait and the Gulf States to invest in Ukraine, highlighted promising spheres of investment and informed about available instruments of state support for investment in Ukraine.
Dmytro Senik named enhancing bilateral and multilateral investment and trade cooperation a priority task of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Representative of UkraineInvest Serhiy Tsivkach and representative of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Taras Yeleyko briefed the participants on key provisions of the Law of Ukraine on State Support of Investment Projects with Significant Investments. They also presented new investment projects in Ukraine in the spheres of mining, real estate, renewable energy, agriculture and information technologies.
For reference: on September 28, 2021, Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Investment Forum "Government Support for Investments in Ukraine" took place in Kuwait as an online seminar for Kuwaiti investment institutions, companies and private investors. The Forum was organized with the assistance of Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Investment Promotion Office UkraineInvest and the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
Total volume of trade in goods between Ukraine and the State of Kuwait for the period January-July 2021 amounted to USD 17.47 million. In particular, exports of goods – USD 16.62 million, imports – USD 0.85 million. The balance of trade in goods was positive for Ukraine - USD 15.77 million.
