Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held a phone conversation with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

Dmytro Kuleba congratulated his counterpart on his birthday and praised his personal contribution to the development of traditionally friendly Ukrainian-Turkmen relations.

Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Turkmenistan agreed to facilitate direct contacts between Ukrainian and Turkmen companies, which will contribute to the growth of trade and investment. 

The sides also agreed to develop cooperation in the political, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Intensification of the dialogue between the two Ministries is well reflected in Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan for 2020-2021.

The Ministers also exchanged experiences on combating the spread of the COVID-19 virus and overcoming the effects of the pandemic, and agreed to fully contribute to the resumption of the positive dynamics of mutual trade.
