The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis in the framework of the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm.
Dmytro Kuleba informed his Lithuanian counterpart about the security situation in the temporarily occupied territories and near the Ukrainian border against the background of strengthening of the Russian military presence. As part of the process of forming a comprehensive containment package the ministers coordinated joint actions to deter Russia from escalating aggression.
Dmytro Kuleba and Gabrielius Landsbergis discussed the current security situation on the Belarus–Lithuania border, coused by a significant increase in the number of migrants. The Lithuanian Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the humanitarian aid provided by Ukraine to protect the Lithuanian border.
The Lithuanian Minister assured his Ukrainian counterpart of Lithuania's readiness to continue supporting Ukraine's integration to the EU and NATO. Dmytro Kuleba thanked the Lithuanian side for the comprehensive humanitarian, financial and technical support of Ukraine.
Ministers discussed further steps to expand cooperation within the Lublin Triangle.
