On September 29, 2021, during his visit to Kuwait, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (CDTO) Dmytro Senik met with Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs of Kuwait Sami Al-Hamad.

The interlocutors discussed the ways to intensify bilateral investment cooperation as well as preparation for the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Kuwaiti Commission on Economic, Technical and Trade Cooperation.

They paid special attention to joint activities to strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism and aviation, in particular, the opening of direct flights between Ukraine and Kuwait.

Dmytro Senik and Sami Al-Hamad also discussed the mutual recognition of vaccination certificates against Covid-19, including digital ones, to facilitate the travel of citizens.

The Deputy Ministers agreed to organize a visit of a Kuwaiti business delegation to Ukraine and to hold the Economic Week of Ukraine in Kuwait.
