On February 14, 2024 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Iryna Borovets met with UNHCR Representative in Ukraine Karolina Lindholm Billing.

The sides positively noted the level of cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and UNHCR to address the consequences of Russian aggression. 

During the meeting, attention was given to preserving the levels of UN humanitarian response in our country in 2024 and providing assistance to the most vulnerable population groups, internally displaced persons, and Ukrainians forced to leave for other countries due to ongoing Russian aggression.

Additionally, the Deputy Minister and the UNHCR representative discussed the provision of psychological support within the framework of the implementation of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program initiated by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.

The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the UNHCR Representation in Ukraine for implementing joint projects with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and emphasized the importance of further enhancing the capacities of Ukraine's consular service.

Iryna Borovets and Karolina Lindholm Billing expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation and successful implementation of UNHCR projects in Ukraine.
