On July 7, the Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh held a meeting with representatives of more than 30 central executive authorities on strengthening cooperation with the African region.
Participants of the event outlined the main strategic directions of strengthening cooperation with the African countries in the foreign economic, legal, security, political and diplomatic tracks.
The meeting underlined the strong potential for cooperation with Africa in the areas of food security, supplies of mineral raw materials, as well as in the educational and financial sectors.
A separate part of the meeting was devoted to strengthening cooperation with the African countries within international organizations and other multilateral formats.
Maksym Subkh emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination between the ministries and agencies, on the one hand, and the MFA in the African direction through the mechanisms, determined by the President and the Government of Ukraine.
