On March 11, 2025 Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh held a meeting with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Radek Rubeš, who is currently on a visit to Ukraine as part of the Czech Republic’s government delegation.

Maksym Subkh expressed his gratitude to the Czech partners for the extensive assistance which has been provided to our country by the Czech Republic since the first day of Russia's full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine.

The parties exchanged views on their common interests in Africa and the Middle East, as well as on further expansion of the diplomatic presence of Ukraine and the Czech Republic in the region.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of expanding bilateral cooperation within the framework of implementing the President Zelenskyy's initiative «Grain from Ukraine».

Also the possibility of arranging a familiarisation visit to Ukraine for media representatives from African countries was discussed.
