On May 17, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa, Maksym Subkh, received Ambassador of the State of Israel to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky.

The interlocutors discussed the common challenges and threats faced by both countries in the security sphere, with special attention given to Israel's involvement in implementing the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula.

The Special Representative of Ukraine thanked the Israeli Side for its consistent political and diplomatic support of Ukraine on international platforms, as well as for the humanitarian aid provided since the beginning of Russia's large-scale aggression against Ukraine.

In view of the difficult situation in Ukraine's energy system, resulting from constant missile attacks by the Russian Federation on thermal generation facilities, the Ukrainian diplomat expressed hope that the Israeli government will contribute to the provision of Ukraine's energy needs.

The parties also discussed the dynamics of the bilateral political dialogue, particularly in the context of intensifying inter-parliamentary cooperation and contacts at the level of the foreign ministries of the two countries.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the prospects for normalizing the situation in the Middle East and the post-war settlement of the Gaza Strip. 

"Ukraine condemns terrorism in any form and advocates for the peaceful coexistence of the Palestinian and Israeli peoples, with a final settlement of the conflict based on the principle of two states coexisting in peace and security," Maksym Subkh emphasized.
