On November 10, 2023, Special Representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Maksym Subkh received copies of the credentials of the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Ukraine Umar Kande.
The interlocutors discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The Ambassador of Guinea expressed his country's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The Special Representative confirmed the interest of the Ukrainian side in the involvement of Guinea in the implementation of the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine as well as in the participation of representatives of this country in the Global Peace Summit.
Maksym Subkh emphasized the importance of exerting pressure on Russia to ensure immediate unblocking of the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea Grain Corridor, which directly affects international food security, primarily in Africa.
The Ukrainian diplomat invited Guinea to participate in the Second International Summit on Food Security, which will be held at the end of November this year.
