On March 18, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Ukraine, Rafael de Mello Vidal.
Mariana Betsa informed the Ambassador about the current security situation in Ukraine amid ongoing Russian aggression. The parties paid special attention to the humanitarian dimension, in particular the issue of the illegal abduction and forcible transfer of Ukrainian children by Russia, as well as international efforts aimed at their return and at bringing those responsible to justice.
The Deputy Minister invited Brazil to join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.
The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral cooperation and the international agenda, focusing on prospects for developing Ukrainian-Brazilian interaction in the economic, energy, and social spheres, as well as on strengthening cooperation within international organizations.
Mariana Betsa, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, reiterated the invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauro Vieira, to visit Ukraine.
