On January 30, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Ukraine Carlo Formosa to discuss key issues of cooperation in the international organizations.
The sides paid special attention to cooperation within the framework of UNESCO, in particular, the support from Italy on issues related to the protection of Ukraine’s cultural heritage amidst Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, as well as the support for Ukraine’s candidacy for the UNESCO Executive Board for 2025-2029.
“Ukraine is sincerely grateful to Italy for its unwavering support for our country within multilateral forums. I would especially like to note the importance of coordinating actions in the context of events marking the third anniversary of Russian aggression”, the Deputy Minister highlighted.
