On April 3, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa met with Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, Rhodes and Malta, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Ukraine, Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone.
The interlocutors discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction within the framework of UNESCO. Particular attention was given to the organization of an international conference this summer dedicated to addressing the consequences of Russia’s war against Ukraine in the fields of culture and the environment.
Mariana Betsa expressed gratitude for the numerous humanitarian projects in Ukraine to support the structures of the Sovereign Order of Malta for Ukrainian citizens who have suffered from the Russian armed aggression.
For his part, Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone assured that the Sovereign Order of Malta will continue to provide assistance to internally displaced persons, children, and the elderly in Ukraine.
