Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: "During our substantive call with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism Ian Borg, we discussed ways to enhance cooperation and bilateral ties between Ukraine and Malta. 

We focused on the consequences of Russia’s terror attacks and urgent needs of Ukraine’s energy sector. 

I emphasized that international unity and increased sanctions pressure are key to deprive Russia of the resources that allow it to prolong its war. 

The activities of the Global Centre for Maritime Sanctions Monitoring based in Valletta play an important role in strengthening international efforts to counter Russia’s shadow fleet. I appreciate my colleague’s special attention to this issue.
