On August 23, 2025 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with a delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Estonia led by Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Kaimo Kuusk.

The Deputy Minister of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the Estonian side for the comprehensive assistance to our state, in particular in the military, financial and humanitarian spheres to counter Russian armed aggression.

“We sincerely appreciate the strong partnership between our states and are grateful to Estonia for the assistance provided to Ukraine. In times of ongoing Russian aggression, Estonia’s unwavering support is of exceptional importance – not only for strengthening Ukraine’s resilience, but also for protecting the security and stability of the entire European continent,” Mariana Betsa noted.

The parties discussed diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

In turn, Kaimo Kuusk assured Estonia's unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and stressed its readiness to further strengthen practical support for Ukraine both bilaterally and within international organizations.
