On 13 February, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa held a meeting with a high-level delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) led by President Pia Kauma.

Mariana Betsa stressed the importance of the OSCE parliamentary dimension and expressed gratitude to Pia Kauma for her strong position as President of the Assembly in supporting Ukraine in face of the ongoing Russian Federation’s full-scale war of aggression against our State. “We count on the OSCE PA's continued unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, as well as assistance in implementing President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula to restore comprehensive, just and lasting peace for Ukraine”, emphasized Mariana Betsa.

The Deputy Minister further noted the importance of ensuring compliance with the fundamental principles of the OSCE, enshrined in the Helsinki Final Act, which Russia has grossly violated by unleashing a full-scale war of aggression against Ukraine, the third anniversary of which is approaching.

During the meeting, Mariana Betsa also drew attention to the importance of involving the OSCE PA in international efforts to return all Ukrainian children deported by Russia and to release all Ukrainian civilian detainees, and invited the Assembly to join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

The meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine was also attended by the OSCE PA Secretary General Roberto Montella, high-level representatives of the OSCE PA Bureau, heads of national parliamentary delegations from a number of Assembly’s member States, as well as members of the OSCE PA Ad Hoc Committee “Parliamentary Support Team for Ukraine”.
