On November 26, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mariana Betsa met with Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Audra Plepytė.
The interlocutors discussed current issues of cooperation within international organizations. Particular attention was paid to the issue of the return and rehabilitation of Ukrainian children deported by the Russian Federation.
Mariana Betsa expressed sincere gratitude to Lithuania for its active work within the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, and also emphasized the importance of adopting the UN General Assembly resolution initiated by Ukraine on the return of Ukrainian children from the Russian Federation.
The sides also underlined the importance of further intensifying efforts to hold Russia accountable as the aggressor state, primarily within the framework of launching the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
Mariana Betsa and Audra Plepytė agreed to further coordinate actions between Ukraine and Lithuania in international fora.
