On December 6, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi received copies of the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to Ukraine Djihad Eddine Belkas.

The Sides discussed steps to intensify bilateral political contacts, and cooperation in the economic, trade and humanitarian fields, as well as an expansion of the treaty basis on bilateral relations.

For reference: According to the results of 2021, the total volume of bilateral trade in goods and services between Ukraine and Algeria amounted to 364.5 million USD. January-September 2021, the bilateral trade turnover amounted to 470 million USD.
