On February 10, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi met with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Elmira Akhundova.

They discussed a number of issues of bilateral and international cooperation, exchanged views on the security situation in the region, reaffirmed mutual support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Azerbaijan.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy, infrastructure and agro-industrial complex, in particular in the context of implementation of relevant agreements reached during the visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Ukraine on January 14, 2022.

The parties also discussed cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan in the framework of international organizations, including preparations for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM.
