On February 10, 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi met with Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine Georgy Zakarashvili.
They discussed important issues of Ukraine-Georgia relations, including the schedule of political contacts, as well as preparations for the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 25th anniversary of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM.
Particular attention was paid to issues of regional and international agenda. The parties exchanged views on the security situation in the region.
Mykola Tochytskyi thanked Georgia for its full support of Ukraine in relation to the Russian aggression.
For his part, Georgy Zakarashvili expressed Georgia's solidarity with Ukraine and reaffirmed its readiness to cooperate in the security sphere.
The parties agreed to hold political consultations at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Georgia in the near future in order to discuss the whole range of issues of bilateral relations.
