On October 25, 2021, Ukrainian-Jordanian political consultations were held in the city of Amman under co-chairmanship of Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine (CDTO) Dmytro Senik and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Yousef Al-Bataineh.
The sides discussed topical issues of the relations between Ukraine and Jordan, with particular reference to strengthening political dialogue and steps to increase the volume of trade.
"Intensification of the political dialogue between Ukraine and Jordan is an important element in the development of all areas of cooperation between our countries: trade, investment, cultural, humanitarian, IT," – underlined Dmytro Senik.
The diplomats discussed the issues of interaction between Ukraine and Jordan within the international organizations, in particular the UN.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on current international and regional issues, in particular the situation in the Middle East and North Africa.
For reference: the last session of political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and Jordan took place in 2011 in the city of Kyiv.
