On 7 July, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Karasevych met with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Ma Shengkun.

The diplomats exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, in particular, specific steps to intensify political dialogue and enhance practical cooperation between Ukraine and China this year were discussed.

Oleksandr Karasevych also underscored the important role that China could play in advancing a sustainable and just peace for Ukraine.
