On 13 July, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Ma Shengkun.

The parties discussed current issues of Ukraine-China relations and cooperation in priority areas, in particular ways to intensify dialogue between Foreign Ministries, including exchange of visits by the Foreign Ministers of both states.

Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for its unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and, for his part, confirmed consistent support for the "one China" policy, which creates the prerequisites for a substantive dialogue on strengthening China's role in international efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace in Ukraine.

In turn, the Chinese diplomat noted that China is ready to play a constructive role in finding diplomatic ways to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
