Olexandr Mischenko thanked the Lithuanian side for the consistent and principled support for Ukraine, for the comprehensive and unconditional humanitarian, financial and military assistance provided to our country, as well as for Lithuania's strong role in building international solidarity with Ukraine.

The two sides discussed a broad range of bilateral and international issues, focusing in particular on countering Russia’s ongoing military aggression against Ukraine, boosting further international support for Ukraine, and stepping up efforts to isolate Russia on the global stage.

The consultations addressed the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the areas of defence and security. The sides reviewed the current state and prospects for stepping up mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), including possible practical contributions Ukraine could make to the activities of this group

The consultations addressed the ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in defence and security. The sides reviewed the progress and future potential for enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF), including the practical ways Ukraine can contribute to the activities of this group.

Special attention was given to the collaboration between Ukraine and Lithuania within international organisations, including the UN, the Council of Europe, UNESCO, the OSCE, the OPCW, and others. The discussion also covered the regional formats of cooperation with Poland (Lublin Triangle) as well as with Northern Europe and Baltic States.

The parties also discussed ways to further promote Ukrainian initiatives globally in support of restoring a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in Ukraine, including joint efforts to engage countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America in supporting our country and fostering closer cooperation with them.

The Lithuanian side reaffirmed its strong commitment to continue standing alongside Ukraine, supporting its struggle for freedom, independence, and democratic values shared by both nations.
