On April 16th, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Head of the Foreign Service and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Poland, Rafał Wiśniewski, as part of his visit to Ukraine.
Olexandr Mischenko expressed gratitude for the significant defence, economic, and humanitarian assistance that Poland, as a reliable strategic partner, provides to our state, as well as for sheltering a significant number of Ukrainians.
The diplomats discussed Poland's support for Ukraine's European integration course, particularly the opening of negotiation clusters during the Polish presidency of the Council of the EU, as well as efforts to overcome obstacles in the process of negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU.
The interlocutors paid attention to the intensification of cooperation between the diplomatic academies under the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Poland, noting the importance of holding consultations between the two institutions in Warsaw soon. For its part, the Polish side expressed the interest in organizing regular visits to Ukraine by young diplomats, with the aim of learning Ukraine's experience and strengthening bilateral relations
