On January 13, 2025 Deputy Minister Olexandr Mishchenko met with Jonas Ohman, the head of Lithuania's largest charitable organization "Blue/Yellow for Ukraine", who is also a volunteer and journalist. The organization focuses on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Jonas Ohman has arrived in Ukraine with another shipment of humanitarian aid to meet the needs of the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade as part of the MFA of Ukraine's initiative for systematic support of this unit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to ensure the continued provision of critical assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Lithuania’s civil society. This includes supplying radars, electronic warfare systems, UAVs, transport vehicles, personal protective equipment, demining equipment, and other resources essential for supporting Ukrainian soldiers.
Particular attention was paid to organizing the delivery of upcoming humanitarian shipments for the needs of the 21st Separate Mechanized Brigade. Specifically, they discussed ways to accelerate the transfer of this aid to Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines to ensure timely provision of necessary resources.
Oleksandr Mishchenko expressed his gratitude to the leadership and all volunteers of "Blue/Yellow for Ukraine" for their tireless efforts in supporting Ukraine.
For their part, representatives of "Blue/Yellow for Ukraine" reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to continue supporting Ukraine and its Armed Forces in resisting the aggressor state through the provision of vital volunteer aid.
The event was also attended by Valeria Holubtsova, the logistics coordinator of the "Blue/Yellow for Ukraine" organization.
