On September 16, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Olexandr Mischenko held a meeting with Park Ki-chang, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine.
Olexandr Mischenko noted the significant intensification of the Ukraine-Korea political dialogue, specifically the successful visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea in June 2026 and the productive meeting between the heads of the two states on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara in July of this year.
The Ukrainian diplomat expressed gratitude to the Republic of Korea for its unwavering support for Ukraine in countering the Russian Federation's armed aggression, as well as for the financial and humanitarian assistance provided.
The parties discussed ways to further enhance interaction between the two countries, specifically the schedule of high-level contacts, as well as practical aspects of intensifying cooperation in trade and economic spheres, including the resumption of bilateral coordination mechanisms such as political consultations between the Foreign Ministries and meetings of the Intergovernmental Ukraine-Korea Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
