On July 8, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Sergiy Kyslytsya held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Ma Shengkun.
The diplomats discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, as well as the countries' approaches in multilateral formats. In this regard, the First Deputy Minister expressed his expectation that Beijing would take a consistent and balanced position on establishing a just and lasting peace in Ukraine based on the principles of the UN Charter.
Sergiy Kyslytsya stressed the importance of regular bilateral contacts at all levels, which would allow resolving problematic issues and exchanging views on the priorities and interests of the two countries in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding.
