27 February 2026 11:54

The first batch of food supplies, totalling 2618.15 mt tonnes, has arrived in the Republic of Kenya as part of the humanitarian initiative of the President of Ukraine “Food from Ukraine.” The total volume of the food consignment exceeds 3,600 tonnes.

The cargo was delivered in coordination with the World food Programme (WFP), which will ensure its further distribution among the most vulnerable categories of the population, in particular refugees in the Dadaab and Kakuma camps. The project was implemented with the assistance of the Republic of Slovenia and Austria.

The ceremony took place at the port of Mombasa with the participation of Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Kenya H.E. Yurii Tokar, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Kenya (non-resident) H.E. Kristina Radej, and representatives of WFP in Kenya.

Ukraine consistently continues the implementation of the “Food from Ukraine” initiative in cooperation with international partners and relevant organizations of the UN system.
