On February 4, Deputy Foreign Minister Vasyl Bodnar had a meeting with Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Mantas Adomėnas.
The Deputy Ministers discussed the agenda of Ukrainian-Lithuanian political dialogue in 2021, in particular the preparation for and the content of the Council of Presidents’ next session, as well as the International Ukraine Reform Conference.
Ukraine and Lithuania agreed to expand cooperation in combating Russia’s hybrid aggression. Mantas Adomėnas expressed support for Ukraine’s efforts to counter Russia’s disinformation threats and confirmed the readiness of Lithuania to share its experience.
Following the decisions reached by Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland during the Lublin Triangle meeting on January 29, the parties agreed to hold a separate meeting of national coordinators of the three countries to elaborate on an Action Plan for 2021.
The Deputy Ministers also focused on the development of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian intergovernmental dialogue, both in bilateral and multilateral format, the preparation of the exchange of visits of the Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Lithuania.
