Virtual Coffee Chat “Women with Disabilities: Leaders, Influencers, Changemakers” zoom conference co-organized by the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN will take place on November 24, 2020, at 6.30 pm Kyiv time

The event will include presentation of the Ukrainian expert, Ms.Yuliia Sachuk, co-founder and head of the “Fight for Right” NGO, the Ukrainian candidate to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities for the 2021-2024 term.

The elections to the Committee will take place at the UN Headquarters on November 30, 2020, during the Thirteenth Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine together with foreign partners through the permanent missions in New York and Geneva takes measures aimed at promotion of Ms.Yuliia Sachuk’s election campaign.

Women leaders from Australia, Georgia and Ireland have also been invited to participate in the event.

We invite everyone to take part in the event, which will provide an opportunity to pose a question to Ms.Yuliia Sachuk, as well as share your country’s experience in the field of promoting and protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms of people with disabilities.

The Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is the body of independent experts, which monitors implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by the States Parties. The members of the Committee are experts of high moral standing and recognized competence and experience in the field covered by the Convention.
